As promised by The Chancellor in the Spring Budget, Multiple Dwellings Relief was abolished on 1st June 2024. 

 

Multiple Dwellings Relief was a relief that was claimed to reduce Stamp Duty Land Tax when purchasing two or more residential properties in the same or a linked transaction. 

 

Contracts exchanged before 6th March 2024 will remain eligible for the relief regardless of when completion occurs, if there is no variation of contract.
